Mangaluru: As per the Cobrapost sting operation the Muslim Central Committee demanded inquiry into the BJP leaders who involved to using violence against ‘love Jihad’.

Addressing a press meet here on Thursday, October 8, president of Muslim Central Committee K S Mohammed Masood said that the state home department should hold a detailed probe into the same. The probe, he said could be either done by the CID or by the CBI or by any other agency fit to take up such a probe.

He questioned both, the silence of the BJP in wake of the outcome of the sting operation as well as the silence of the State home department.

He said,including MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik over 60 per cent of the police personnel in the police department had RSS inclination and affiliation, he asked MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, VHP leader Jagadish Shenava and Srikar Prabhu – should answer this allegation.

He also said that if the state government fails to initiate a probe, “What is the home department doing when such statements are made? It should be probed either by the CID or CBI, Otherwise the Committee will hold massive protest against the statement.

The Muslim Central Committee also submitted memorandum to the chief minister and the police commissioner demanding detailed probe into the findings of the Cobrapost sting operation.

Former mayor Ashraf, secretary of the Committee Mustafa and Mohammed Haneef were present.
