Mangalore: Abdul Kareem and Ganesh of Puttur who were accused of collecting Commission to obtain Shrama Skakti Scheme loans for beneficiaries, were arrested today (October 3) by Urwa Police but let off as if there was no case made out.
15 beneficiaries paid Rs2000 each to Kareem and Ganesh on receiving loans of Rs 15,000 each (including Rs3750 towards subsidies) under the state Minority Development Corporation’s SS scheme.
The arrested due, alleged to have cheated the 15 beneficiaries to get Rs2,000 from each one of them, were let off later. The BJP Yuwa Morcha state Vice-president, Franklin Montero had passed on the Complaints to Urwa Police who did not register a single case.
