Mangalore: Five fishermen had a miraculous escape after their fishing boat capsized off South Wharf during the return journey from a two day fishing expedition.

It is learnt, the rough sea and high tide led to the capsize of the boat ‘New Star”. Luckily, some other fishermen who noticed that the boat has capsized, rushed to the help of the fishermen and brought them ashore.

The fishing boat has incurred a loss of Rs 14 lakh due to the mishap.
