Puttur:  In an incident of offending the national tricolor reported from Puttur, a priest of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church based in Kerala, was detained. Reports said the national flag was offended while hoisting it at the Bishop’s House at Parladka in Puttur by hoisting it wrongly.

The flag post had a cross at the top and moreover the flag was not fixed as it need to be fixed to the pole. It is also learnt that a clothesline was used for hoisting the flag.

Puttur police are conducting the investigations.
