Udupi: As a fresh development in businessman Bhasker Shetty murder case CID police have filed the charge sheet to the court along with the DNA report of the bones found in Palli River, on Wednesday.
The DNA reports have confirmed that the available bones belong to Bhaskar Shetty. CID has submitted a charge sheet of 816 pages to the JMFC court here.
Later speaking to the reporters Criminal Investigations Department SP Iada Martin said that the submitted charge sheet is a preliminary one and the final report will be submitted after conducting the further investigations.
“As per the present chare sheet, pepper spray was sprayed to Bhaskar Shetty’s eyes and he was forced to drink poison. After that he was taken to to Nandalike and his dead body was burnt in a newly built homakunda. His mortal remains were disposed in various places near the river,” he said.
He further said that Rajeshwari, Navneet and Niranjan Bhat committed the murder and Shrinivas Bhat and Raghavendra have helped the culprits to destroy the evidences related to the crime. Under Indian Penal code (IPC) sections 302, 201, 204, 120B and 34 charges have been imposed on the accused.
