Mangalore : A delegation led by Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza, the bishop of Mangalore Diocese, visited Chief Minister D. V. Sadananda Gowda to thank him for withdrawing the cases registered against Christians during the church attacks of 2008.
They also invited the CM to participate in the post centenary silver jubilee celebrations of the Mangalore Diocese, which is scheduled to be held on Feb 11 – 12, next year.
CM Sadanand Gowda also assured the delegation to release the Rs. 50 crore sanctioned for the Christian Development Council.
The delegation included Christian leaders such as M. P. Noronhan, the lawyer; Fr. William Menezes, the PRO of Mangalore Diocese; Fr. Onil D’Souza, the CODP director; Susheel Noronha, the secretary of the jubilee celebrations committee; Praveen Patrao, the vice president of the Kulshekar Parish Council; and Rajesh D’Souza, the member of the Kulshekar parish finance committee.
