Mangaluru : After several demand of Pachanady residents, the city corporation started construction of a retaining wall at garbage landslide area at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore to stop sliding the garbage at downhill area.
A huge landslide occurred the city’s garbage dump at Pachanady during the rainy season in August last year. The properties, houses, were damaged and people suffered by the landslide.
The Mangalore city corporation undertaken the project at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore, may be completed in about two months’ time.
