Mangalore : Karnataka CM, Siddaramaih on a renewed visit to Mangalore arrived in Karambaru in Monday in Mangalore to inaugurat the ‘Guru Mandir’ of Shree Narayana Guru Samaj Seva Sangha. Speaking in the occasion he exhorted the people, especially the learned ones, to educate those persons who did not have the benefit of rudiments of general education. He explains that education was necessary in the life of every individual for his or her development of personality on different lines.
He wanted dalith’s schools for backward classes’ children to study and come up in life like him. He asked dalith leaders in society to start new schools and temples for backward classes, minorities and other scheduled cast and tribe people all over the west coast, wherever such institutions are not functioning.
The Samudaya Bhavan (Community Centre) was inaugurated by former union minister B Janardhan Poojary while urban development minister Vinay Kumar Sorake inaugurated the ‘Bhojan Griha’ (dining hall).
Sri Satyanandatirtha Swamiji of Shree Shivagiri Kshetra blessed the occasion and Vasanth Kumar Bangera, president of the Sangha presided.
District in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai, fisheries minister Abhayachandra Jain, MLA Vasanth Bangera, B A Mohideen, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Kota Srinivas Poojary, Jaya C Suvarna, Naveen Suvarna, MLA Mohiuddin Bava among others were the chief guests.
CM in concluding his speech, paid height tributes to Shree Narayana Guru who fought against superstations that did not help mankind all his life.
Siddaramaih hoped that people at large would give up all useless superstations that mislead them in life and take to finest education to fulfill their aims in life one by one .
