Mangalore: CM Yeddyurappa likes Mangalore more than any other city in Karnataka and always finds time to reach here if he is invited to a function. He was in Bajpe this morning (Nov.17) on his way to Puttur, where a large sized Pandal on the grounds facing Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple was ready to greet him for “Bhagyalaxmi” saree distribution and protection of female children policy programme were due in the forenoon, while Arun Jaitley awaited him in Bangalore.
CM Yeddyurappa has also some programmes to attend in Udupi, a neighbouring district in the evening.
Speaking at the airport, CM told media persons at Kenjaru that the opposition leaders, KPCC President, Dr. G Parameshwara and JD(S) MLA, HD Revanna were free to fight him on the so called land scandals.
He referred to BJP state President K.S Eashwarappa and his family acquiring shares in Bharat Industries in 2009 and lands in Dobbespet (near Nelamangala) from KIADB and from Peenya Industrial Estate, besides 11.20 acres in Kudutini (Bellary) allotted by KIADB.
CM referred to his own land acquisitions, which he claimed to be in legal ways. He would request a retired SC Judge to check up the methods of acquiring the lands by his sons.
He expressed the hope of BJP ruling the state for next 15 to 20 years, keeping Congressmen at bay and denying JD(S) any power to rule. Dr. V.S Acharya. Krishna Palemar, N. Yogish Bhat, V. Sadanand Gowda were present.
