Udupi : A 63-year-old man who admitted at Ajjarkad government district hospital for suspected COVID-19 treatment committed suicide by hanging himself July 7 early morning.

The man was admitted in the isolation ward for suspected COVID-19 patients at Ajjarkad government district hospital on July 5.

However, a day later he was found to have committed suicide by hanging in the ward.

As per reports, the deceased identified as Prabhaker Putran ended his life at about 6.50 am.

A case has been registered in this regard at the Udupi city police station.
