MarigoudaMysuru: The court on Thursday, has granted bail to K Marigowda, who was booked for threatening Mysuru DC Shikha.

IAS officer Shikha had registered a complaint against Marigowda at Nazarabad police station for disrupting during the duty and threatening her. Marigowda is former president of Mysuru ZP and a close aide of CM.

On July 3 DC Shikha had come to Mysuru IB to welcome CM Siddaramaiah during an Iftaar meet. Marigowda spoke in singular form with Shikha. Soon after the incident Shikha had filed a complaint. Marigowda was absconded since that day.

He applied for anticipatory bail in district court and High Court, but his bail plea was rejected by both the courts. As his bail pleas were rejected by the court, finally he surrendered in front of Nazarabad police. Later court had ordered for judicial custody of Marigowda.

He was expelled from Congress on August 10 and DC Shikha was transferred as Commissioner of Karnataka social welfare department.
