As the district administration refused permission for Naga Sadhus to offer pooja to Datta Paduke, a sadhu from Hrishikesha Akhada carried out ‘Hata Yoga’ inside the cave at Inam Dattatreya Peeta. The district administration had allowed the pooja to Datta Paduke by Sarvadharma Samanvaya Peeta seer Sangamananda Swami and another seer.

When Ramdi Das, a Naga Sadhu attemped to offer pooja to Datta Paduke, the officials denied permission. Enraged over it, he carried out Hata yoga on the spot and refused to move further.

When Sri Rama Sene chief Pramod Muthalik and state convener Mahesh Kattinamane urged the authorities to allow Naga Sadhus to offer pooja to Datta Paduke, tension prevailed at the site.

Later, bowing pressure from the protesters, the officials allowed the sadhus to enter the sanctum sanctorum and offer flowers to the paduke.
