Mangalore: Nearly 45 students from schools in Mangalore and around are enthusiastically taking part in a three day science camp organised by the Centre for Advanced Learning for students of class IX and X. The main objective of the camp has been to develop a scientific temperament among the students and create awareness on science through experiments.
The resource persons of Centre for Advanced Learning were led by Suyash Dake, an IT man who chose a profession of popularizing science through experiments. Dr Sujatha, a former scientist at the ISRO, Srikanth Pai, a Ph.d student from Indian Institute of Science, were also the resource persons.
The kits provided by Dake also helped students develop paper models of the first satellite Aryabhata. Students are thoroughly enjoying their participation in the camp.
