Mangalore: To mark the World Physiotherapy Day, the Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy organized a free workshop on September 8, Thursday.
Speaking after inaugurating the workshop, Dr Umasankar Mohanty, President IAP and MTFI, said that physiotherapists come from paediatric to geriatric community to improve quality of life and the treatment of physiotherapy also works on heart and mind of patient.
Presiding over the event, Dr Ranjith Shetty, Trustee, Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust, said that physiotherapy has come a long way in short span of 15 years.
Dr Ketan Bhatikar, EC Member IAP & Convenor SFTFI, Goa, was the guest of honour.
Dr Susan Varghese, Principal, Dr MV Shetty College of Physiotherapy welcomed the guests and gathering. Dr. Mohammad Suhail, Asst. Professor, Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy proposed vote of thanks.
In the first session Dr Umasankar Mohanty , delivered the talk on the “Manual Therapy and Taping Techniques for shoulder dysfunctions”.
Dr. Sangameshwar, District Medical Officer, Govt Wenlock Hopital, delivered the key note address on the occasion.
As a part of the World Physiotherapy Day there will be a Blood Donation Camp was held at Govt Wenlock Hospital.
