Mangalore: Haji Abdul Khader who was a prominent Muslim in Mangalore a few decades back died with a massive heart attack on Saturday night in city at his residence. He survived by a wife, 4 daughters and 3 sons besides a large circle of relatives and friends.

He was earlier associated with Muslim Central Committee, Muslim Education Association and Mangalore city corporation hither as president or as Mayer.

After Mangalore became enlarged as a city corporation, late Haji was elected as its 2nd Mayer. His Social services are lauded and remembered all these 25 years by people of his community who were shocked about learning of his death. He was also connected with the city football association and known to many city football fans.
