Mangaluru : A huge peepal tree fell near Mangaladevi temple here late evening on Friday June 8, following heavy rains.

Four persons were injured in this incident. Surekha (63), Praveen Suvarna (49), Naveen (45), and Tejaswini (20) injured persons.

It is said a vehicle was also damaged in the incident.

The injured persons have been admitted to different hospitals in city.

CCTV footage showed that as the tree started to fall, people at the spot panicked and started running for their lives.

Fire brigade and Pandeshwar police arrived at the spot and undertook measures to shift the fallen tree.
