Bangalore: Former Tourism minister and mining Don, also MLA from Bellary, Gali Janardhana Reddy, shifted from Chanchalguda to local Ulsoor Gate this morning, was produced before the CBI Court in city and was remanded to CBI custody till March 12 this afternoon.

He and 20 others (including wife Aruna) face charges of illegal mining through AMC/OMC in forest lands, with or without lease authority.

ACSC Judge B.M. Angadi accepted an application from CBI to put Reddy in local custody.

There were some violent scenes in the court complex in which lawyers and media persons were involved and vehicle were damaged.
