Mangaluru : BJP state president and Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel condemned the murder of Praveen Nettaru and said the government must not allow such incidents to repeat in the coming days.
In a statement, Nalin described Praveen as a worker and gentleman and said his murder has pained him. Suspecting the role of fanatic forces behind the incident to create unrest in society, he said the government will expose the conspiracy behind the murder by arresting those involved.
He said he has requested chief minister Basavaraj Bommai and home minister Araga Jnanendra to give a free hand to the police investigating the case to provide justice for Praveen’s family.
On the mass resignation of party workers in some parts of the state, Kateel said he understands their outrage and will talk to them.
Dakshina Kannada district minister V Sunil Kumar said they have lost a family member in Praveen and the government will give a fitting reply to fanatic organisations behind the incident. He said the government will take into consideration the public outrage in view of the murder while taking decisions over the matter. He said the forces with a jihadi mindset are carrying out such murders across the country in an organised manner.
