Udupi: “Govinda Vaibhava” a variety of programmes organized on the life and achievements of veteran yakshagana artiste K Govinda Bhat concluded   here on Sunday. The programme was jointly organized by Paryaya Sode Sri Vadiraja Mutt and Govinda Vaibhva Committee.

Speaking on the occasion, State Transport  Commissioner T Shyam Bhat said there is a need to document the achievements of senior Yakshagana artistes.

Sri Vishwa Vallabha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Sri Sode Vadiraja  Mutt and Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt, blessed the occasion.

K  Raghupathi Bhat, MLA, presided over the function. Vaijayanthi Kashi, President of Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy, M L Samaga, President of Yakshagana Academy and others were present.

K Govind Bhat and Savitri Govind Bhat couple was honoured on the occasion.
