Mangalore : State minister for Health and Family Welfare U.T Khader inaugurated a new health insurance scheme ‘Jyothi Sanjeevini’ for government employees by handing over a copy to Education officer Jnanesh during the celebration held to mark Teacher’s day at AB Shetty Memorial hall, on September 5, Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Khader said that under the scheme medical treatment will be provided to government employees and their family members. The scheme will provide 447 different treatments including Cancer147 network hospitals across the State.
Further he assured to extend this scheme to teachers of aided and non-aided schools under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
The scheme will also put an end to the practice of submitting fake bills to seek medical reimbursement since the government will directly reimburse money to hospital towards the treatment.
