Mangaluru: Department of Hindi of University Evening College, Mangaluru celebrated “ Hindi Diwas ” at Shivaram Karanth Hall of the college on Wednesday.

Chief Guest, Besant Women’s College Department of Hindi Head Dr. Parashuram Ganapathi Malge inaugurated the event. He spoke about the prominence of Hindi Diwas and how one can we use Hindi in our daily life and in our profession. “Studying many languages including Hindi helps in personality development,” she added. Presiding over the function, Principal Dr. Subhashini Srivathsa said that one must learn Hindi not just for job prospects, but for a better life.

First year BCA student Preetham welcomed the guests. Hindi department Lecturer Dr.Vaishali Salian mastered the ceremony. Ashwini introduced the chief guest to the audience Hindi Lecturer Liyauddin rendered vote of thanks. Teaching and Non-teaching faculty, students were present on the occasion.
