Mangalore : The members of district BJP conducted a demonstration in front of Mangalore City Corporation on Sep 23, Monday, demanding the appointment of Mayor.

Addressing the protestors, MLC Monappa Bhandary said that Congress has violated the constitutional laws by not appointing MCC mayor.

As per the law, the Mayor must be appointed in six months of the election. The public are facing problem due to repair of roads, efficient water supplies, issuing of birth and death certificates and street light.

Ministers U T Khader and Ramanath Rai blame Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake for delay in the appointment of Mayor, he said.
