Customs official seized gold worth Rs.27 lakh at Mangalore Intl. Airport

silver paint  suitcaseMangaluru : The Customs officers at Mangalore International Airport, seized gold totally weighing 1033.000 grams, valued at Rs.27,27,120/-, all of which were kept in a Trolley suitcase, brought as checked in baggage carried by a passenger, who arrived from Dubai on Wednesday, Nov 3.

The gold concealed in a silver paint coated suitcase handle buckle holders, ladies handbag buckles and jeans trouser buttons,

The passenger Abdul Gaffoor Kadappuram, aged about 44 years, son of Shri.Ahamed Kunhi Kaddappuram, is a resident of Moilikariyath House, K M W T 1/34, Kanhangad PO, Kasargod DT, Kerala who arrived at Mangalore International on Wednesday at about 08.10 hrs by Jet Airways flight 9W531 from Dubai.

Further investigation is under progress.
