Demonetisation woes: Rotary school students assist bank customers

Rotary-school-studentsMoodbidri: Students of Rotary English Medium High School under the guidance of Vincent D’Costa, Principal of Rotary School, Moodabidri helped to ease the sufferings of people, especially the elderly and the illiterates struggling at the banks to either deposit or exchange demonetized currency notes.

As per reports, D’Costa after witnessing the difficulty the bank employees were having in managing the huge rush of people visiting the banks either deposit or exchange demonetized currency notes decided to offer his assistance and hence deputed a few students after providing

The students helped the customers at the Syndicate bank by helping them fill applications, guiding them to the right counters, maintain orderly lines as well as providing drinking water to those standing in queue. The help was provided at the banks during the peak time of 10am to 1.30pm.

D’Costa is indeed an inspiration and one hopes that more heads of institutions take a cue from him and encourage the students to offer such voluntary services for the society
