Mangaluru: “Condemning the move to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes, Congress will hold protest in front all RBI offices across the country on January 18,” said Chief Whip and MLC Ivan D’Souza.
Addressing the press personnel on Saturday at his office, he said that Modi is not bothered about the economy and the critical situation of the people of the country. He is acting like a dictator.
“The Central government has not answered to the questions asked by AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi about the demonetisation effects in the country. Questioning this move of Central government Congress is going to hold protests across the country,” he said.
He further said that to aware the people regarding the demonetisation effects protests will be held in each villages of the country from January 20 to February 23.
He also alleged that people were thinking that after demonetisation price of all the needy things will fall down. “Now the price of needy things and LPG gas has been increased drastically,” he added.
Congress leaders Nazeer Bajal, Bhaskar Rao and others were present.
