Police says anti-national elements planned to violence in city on Ayodya Bhoomi Pooja day

vikas KumarMangaluru: City’s Commissioner of Police Vikash Kumar Vikash has ordered imposition of Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure within the police commissionerate limits from 8 pm on August 4 to 6 am on August 6.

In the order imposing the curfew, the commissioner states due to reports of some planned violence on the day of the Bhumi Poojan at Ayodhya by anti-national elements in the city here, the curfew had to be imposed.

He also said, some Muslim organisations also planned to protest the city on August 5.

The order adds that no more than 5 people can gather in public places during the period of the curfew.
