Mangaluru Police rescued four women from a prostitution racket

hindussthan-lodgeMangaluru : Four women hailing from outside the district were rescued at Hindustan lodge situated on K S Rao road here on January 12.

Following allegations of prostitution Mangaluru North police have raided the lodge and arrested the four accused.

It is said,  Pimp Sunil, who had forced the women into prostitution is reported to be absconding. Lodge proprietor Mohan, manager Abdul Basheer, room boy Uday Shetty and customers Bharath and Balakrishna have been arrested by the police.

The raid conducted  by police inspector Govindaraju B, Revathi, PSI Nagaraj, Jagadish and staff Sujan Shetty, Mahesh, Thippereddappa, Mahadev, Sagar Rathnakar, Aruna, Pushpa Rani and Gurunath under guidance from Mangaluru police commissioner N. Shashi Kumar, assistant police commissioners Hariram Shankar, Vinay Gaonkar and ACP central subdivision Jagadish.
