DC warns to delete deceased members name from ration Cards

Rajendra KV Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra K V has asked ration card holders to initiate measures to delete the names of deceased members and other members who are not staying with the family.

In a press conference, the DC said it is a crime to have more than one ration card in a family and any additional ration card needs to be deleted and all names of members need to be incorporated in one card.

He said this is the last chance to make corrections and any changes need to be done by this month end. He has also warned that the ration cards will be cancelled and apart from fine legal action will be initiated against the persons concerned.
