R ashoka Bengaluru : Revenue Minister Mr R Ashoka has clarified that there was no question of leadership change in Karnataka and Mr BS Yediyurappa will continue as the Chief Minister. Speaking to the media on Sunday, Mr Ashoka said, “While in states like Maharashtra, the CM was not stepping out of his house. However, Mr BSY is out on the streets helping people, visiting hospitals, conducting four to five meetings a day to manage the Covid situation. Mr BSY should also be credited to provide free treatment at private hospitals via government quota. He has already announced two tranches of financial aid for various sectors. When he is doing so much work for the people, it is natural to get hurt if there is constant news of the leadership change. However, on record, I want to put a full stop for all these rumours as we are all with CM.

Even Tourism Minister CP Yogeshwar has openly said that he didn’t seek a leadership change and believed in BSY. The Delhi High command also wants Mr BSY to continue.

Even the Karnataka-in charge Mr Arun Singh has personally told me that there was no such proposal to change the CM.

State unit president Mr Naveen Kumar Kateel, party’s general secretary Mr CT Ravi and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi have also stated that they had full confidence in CM BSY’s leadership. I have known BSY for the last 40 years and he is the only CM who has visited every village in the State.

”Reacting to another question related to transfer of IAS officers in Mysuru, Mr Ashoka said, “As a Revenue Minister, CM has taken the best decision and I welcome it.”
