Manglore: Applications have been invited from young people for a month’s training in skills on a sewing machine, to manufacture ready made dresses, without charging any fees. This is done under a state policy in its golden scheme for 2011-12, covering various fields relating to Textiles industry, to assist 500 unemployed young men and women in the coastal districts.
Such a vocational training is provided to the seekers at Attavara (Mangalore), Bantwal, Gurupur, Puttur, Subrahmanya and Bellare, Lyala(Belthangady), Kundapura Rudset Centre in Brahmavara, and Shirva in Adi Udupi at Various 10 training centres.
The candidates should be aged 18 to 35 years. They should have passed at least 5th standard. They should be from coastal (twin) districts. They should obtain the format of applications at concerned training centres or district and taluk panchayath offices, or handloom training offices, and duly fill up these forms, before sending them to Assistant Director, DK Handloom and Textile department, Yeyyadi, Mangalore as soon as possible.
