Mangalore : RSS Sangh chalak Vaman Shenoy said that the Hindu Hitarakshana Vedike (HHV) will organize a protest against the proposed Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence Bill of 2011 on Nov 23.
Speaking at the press meet held at HHV office on Nov 12, Saturday, he said that the bill is termed as “draconian law” which might be passed during the parliament’s winter session, which goes against majority Hindu population.
He told reporters that protests against this bill will be held in Udupi as well as DK, and on Nov 23, a rally will be held from Jyothi Circle to Nehru Maidan. Around 50,000 people are expected to participate.
Shenoy said that the bill is part of a conspiracy against Hindu organizations, which have been falsely accused of terrorist activities.
HHV President S. Ramesh, General Secretary Harish Achar, Bajrang Dal leader Sharan Pumpwell, and VHP leader Jagadish Shenava were also present at the press conference.
