Venur: Due to a rare Jina Mahamastakabhisheka (since 2000 AD) after 12 year thousand of Jain devotees assembled in the tiny village of venur to watch the religious sites that purified the black stone idol of 35 feet tall Bahubali Gommata on the second day of Maha-Majjana proceedings.
Gowda thronged from day break, although the events of bathing took place only after dusk. The assembly included ascetics, royal families, and common obedient people.
The bath was given in performed water sandalwood, cane juice, honey and turmeric power solutions. There were 108 copperpots, containing juices and water. Jaikars rent the airs. Several devotees danced in glee in front of the cool idol, showing a smiling face, in his disciplined body.
They drained their white cloths in colored watches poured over the idol from the top. Music swept the area in an atmosphere only of ecstasy, and a great perform creating is sensations. The seva performers were given special passes to view the day proceedings from close quarters. There were band sets and court musicians on instrument, and colourful fire works creaking at the venue besides cultural events in flow.
