South India wrestling held in city by DK Amateur Wrestling Federation

South India Level WrestlingMangalore: In the latest South India level Wrestling championships held in city on Sunday, Gautam of Mudbidri Alva`s group, was crowned as champion Adarsh, who lost the final to Gautam, became the runner up from DK district. DK  District Amateur wrestling Federation organised the event.

The wrestling bouts were open to both men and women in several weight groups, such as 55 Kg, 60Kg, 66Kg, 74Kg, 84Kg, and 96Kg for men and in 48Kg, 51Kg, 55Kg, 59Kg, 63Kg, and 67Kg, groups for women.

South India Level WrestlingWrestlers came from several cities or areas like Uttar Kannada, Davanagere, Belgaum, Mysore, Tumkur, Moodabidre, Gadag, and DK region.

Vijaya Kanchan, power- wrestling who secured a medal in Japan was feted on the occasion office-bearers of wrestling federation were present, during all award giving ceremonies.
