Bangalore: With the BJP high command now almost certain of going in for a leadership change in the state, discussions are presently on as to how Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda can be rehabilitated in the party once he relinquishes the CM chair.
If some are of the view that he should be made the State BJP chief, the same is strongly opposed by the Yeddyurappa faction.
Meanwhile, there is also an argument that in case DVS is made state BJP chief, then Eshwarappa will have t o be made the Deputy CM.In the meantime, there is a new contestant for the post of Deputy CM in the form of Home Minister Ashok.
On the other hand, a statement made by Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda on Friday reminding that the BJP came to power in the state when he was the state chief of the party, has irked the Yeddy faction which is of the strong argument that the party came to power solely because of Yeddy.
The BJP Parliamentary Board headed by senior leader LK Advani would be meeting in another two to three days wherein the decision to go in for a leadership change in Karnataka would be formally announced.
