Police officials arrest Jaago Mangalore Assn protestors for not seeking permission

 Jaago Mangalore Assn protestors Mangalore : As the Jaago Mangalore Association in cooperation with ‘Arise Mangalore’ and various voluntary bodies were ready to organize a road show and mass campaign against the atrocious attack on college students at Padil in front of DC Office on August 16, Thursday at 5.30 pm. The police department invented the protest asking the association to cancel the protest and campaign because they had not sought the permission of the Police Commissioner 24 hours back.

 Jaago Mangalore Assn protestors The police said that according to the rule, the protestors must take the permission of police department to organize a protest before 24 hours, but the association had informed the department about the protest in the morning.

Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Dinesh Hegde Ulepady, said that there is no rule for holding any protest, since it is a public place and public are holding the protest. We will not cancel the protest, if want arrest us, he said.

 Jaago Mangalore Assn protestors When the members of organisation were about to gives their opinions to media, the deployed police officials arrested the protestors.

The members of association said Vijayanath Shetty, Chief Co-ordinator, Jaago Mangalore Association, Padil attack victims Vijay Kumar and Gurudutt were arrested.
