Mangalore: The newly formed ‘Karavali Sauhardha Sangharsha Samithi’ under the joint aegis of Congress, JDS and CPI(M) will hold massive rally and protest in front DC Office against moral policing on September 4, Tuesday.
Speaking at the press meet held at hotel Woodlands hall on August 22, Wednesday, district congress president and Bantwal MLA Ramanath Rai, said that in the recent years, Dakshina Kannada district have witnessed many communal and moral policing incident in which the various Hindu outfits have attacked the young girls and women.
He also said that the newly formed organisation is non political organisation and is not just formed just for the recent attack, but it is the permanent organization established to fight against such incident and give justice to the women. This organisation will also hold various other programmes in the coming days.
We condemn the moral policing attack on young college girls at Morning Mist Home Stay during the birthday party celebration, he added.
JDS state secretary M G Hegde said that the recent attack has affected the education as well as economical status of the district. This has also placed a black spot on the DK tourism destination.
