CA Foundation DayMangalore: The Mangalore branch of  Southern India Regional Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India celebrated the CA Foundation Day at TV Raman Pai on July 1, Friday.
Participating as the chief guest on the occasion, Justice N Santosh Hegde, Lokayukta, Karnataka said that India has developed without any contribution from all section of society for the development from certain sectors. He also said that politics is a profession now and their making
contribution to the non development world. When the poor goes to government hospital for medical treatment, the doctors will take money from them. Many lawyers do not argue the cases
but stand as middlemen. The country could have been much better today. One can hardly find a government department which is corruption free. Today there is a saying of zero tolerance to corruption, but the government departments and people have tolerance to zero. The recent
CAG reported that the government has paid the amount of Rs 50,000 crore fro 8 schemes including mid day meal, ground senate yojna, drinking water scheme, Integrated child development scheme and others and in every department there is certainly involvement in corruption.
N Yogish Bhat, deputy speaker of the state legislative assembly, and
