Mangalore: ASP of Puttur Division, Rohini Katoch, speaking after inaugurating a one-day workshop on ‘Celebrating the Past and Planning the Future’ at St. Agnes College here today that the civil service department gave plenty of opportunities to women who dare to join it in large numbers. The occasion was to mark the International Women
S Day in city. Rohini told the girls that women should not think they were fit only for some jobs and not for civil service careers.
The ASP wanted (girl) students to be confident and bold, also that they should make their own decisions, not let others to do so. She asked girls to empower themselves with more and more knowledge. She reiterated that hard work had the key to success.
Dr.Prem D’Souza, College principal presided. Dr.Poornima of Lady Goschen Hospital and Sister Maria Kripa were present. Students of the college enacted a Hindi play “Yahan Rona man hai!”
