Mangaluru : The International Women’s Day celebration and Women’s Forum inaugurations were held at the Ravindra Kalabhavana of University College Mangaluru, on Tuesday

Principal (in-charge) Dr. Harish A inaugurated the program. English Department Head Dr. N K Rajalakshmi opined that it is not right to put a man or woman in a frame. A woman is a source of happiness and love is her strength. Political Science Department Head Latha A. Pandit recalled the sacrifies of her parents to educate her and her siblings. “Patience is important for a woman when it comes to challenging situations,” she added.

Lucky women were selected through chits and prizes were distributed. Department of Microbiology Head Dr. Bharathi Prakash and Aruna Kumari of Physics Department organized the event. Rekha Shetty drew attention through her prayers. Hindi Department Hrad Dr. Nagarathna N. Rao delivered vote of thanks. An exhibition was organized as part of the program.
