Mangalore:  B Ahmed Haji Mohiyuddeen, President of B.A.Group inaugurated Jamiyyatul Falah Ladies Hostel at a function held at  Bolar Shadi Mahal Building on August 24, Friday. Mohiyuddeen handed over the keys of the hostel to Khaleel Ahmed,  President of the DK and Udupi district units of the Jamiyyatul Falah and BS Basheer Haji, President of the Mangalore unit. The hostel has  40 rooms constructed above the Shadi Mahal, which can accommodate as many as 120 students.

Fathima Meharoon, Principal of Hira Women’s College, said the opening of the hostel would be a great encouragement to girls of the community pursuing education.Gulzar Banu, Mayor, Khaleel Ahmed and others were present.

A scholarship amount of Rs 40,000 was handed over to a second year MBBS student of Fr Muller Medical College on the occasion.
