Mangaluru: A man allegedly lost Rs 22.1 lakh in a job fraud. The complainant working for a company in Bengaluru, stated that he was introduced to the accused Vinay Kumar alias Vinay Devraj from Bengaluru on social media. Vinay promised a job in the HR wing of a firm, and asked the victim to transfer money to various bank accounts between February 20 and April 4.

After a point, when the accused demanded more money, the victim realised that he was being cheated, and asked the accused to return the money. In a phased manner, the victim claimed that he lost Rs 22.1 lakh. A case has been registered at the Kavoor police station.
