‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ at University Evening College

Mangaluru : University Evening College, Mangaluru and Karnataka Rajya Mahavidyalaya Shikshakara Sangha (KRMSS) jointly celebrated “Kargil Vijay Diwas”- “Abhinaya Shodha – 2022”, an inter-collegiate skit competition on the occasion of Azaadi ka Amrith Mahotsav at Ravindra Kalabhavana on Tuesday.

In his inaugural address, Air Vice Marshal Ramesh Karnik, projected a picture of the Kargil war and bold fight & sacrifice of Indian soldiers. He quoted that each one of us should join the armed forces and it should be our priority to tackle the external threat from our enemies.

MBA (IB) and M.Com Coordinator Dr. Jagadeesha B said, “One must love his country. What we have given to our country is most important.” Principal Dr. Subhashini Shrivatsa, in her presidential remarks said, if we do not remember our soldiers and history, we will not be able to create a history of achievements.”

History Lecturer Dr. Mohan K N mastered the ceremony. KRMSS Secretary Venkatesh Nayak welcomed the guests and gathering. Vote of thanks was rendered by Dr Rathi, the Nodal officer of Azaadi ka Amrith mahotsav.

In the skit competition in UG level, 1st place was bagged by Carmel Degree College, Modankaup and the 2nd place by GFGC, Car Street. In PU level 1st place was bagged by Sri SDPT PU College, Kateel and Sri Rama PU College, Kalladka won the second prize.
