Belthangady : State Minister for Urban Development Vinaykumar Sorake has said that the Education Minister and CM have agreed to include the life history and messages of Sri Narayana Guru in the school syllabus. From next year the government will celebrate the Sri Narayana Guru Jayanthi, he said.

He was speaking after inaugurating the 159th Guru Jayanthi celebrations and the Dining Hall of Guru Narayana Sangha at the Gurunarayana Sabha Bhavan here on September 14, Saturday.

Brahmananda Swamiji of Sri Rama Kshetra, Kanyadi, blessed the occasion. PK Raju, President of Guru Narayana Swami Seva Sangha presided over the function.

The seer honoured Sorake and Belthangady MLA Vasanth Bangera on the occasion.

Several Billawa leaders including B Peetambar Heraje, Vice President of Akhila Bharatha Billawa Maha Mandala, Sujitha V Bangera, Founder President of Mahila Billawa Vedike and others were present.
