Mangalore: Six persons were taken into custody by Bunder police today from Samruddhi Lodge on Maidan Third cross, used as a human trafficking centre by manager Ashraf and assistant Ravi Sirsi (a room boy) along with lodging cleaner Rajesh.
A girl from Andhra, Mamata (ji) (26), was caught red-handed along with her customers, Harish Bangalore, Abbas Thokkottu and Arun Neermarga, by the police who also seized some ‘Nirodh’ packets.
At 4pm today, as per information received by ACP Ravindra Gadadhi, Inspector K.K Ramakrishna and police personnel went to the Lodge and arrested seven persons including the girl involved. They would be produced before a local judge tonight, informed Inspector Ramakrishna.
