Mangalore:  Dr C Krishna, Physical Education Director of Mysore University,  has been all praise for Mangalore University  which  encourages and patronises sports coaches along with the outstanding sports talents.

He was speaking as a chief guest at the inter-college and inter-university level  sports  awards presentation ceremony organised by the Physical Education Department of Mangalore University at the New Senate Hall of the University on March 26, Tuesday.

Regretting the fact that many a sports talent go unrecognized for want of encouragement, he was appreciative of the encouragement given to sports by the University.

Prof. TC Shivashankeramurthi, Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University, presided over the function. Dr  H Nagalingappa., Physical Education Director of Mangalore University, Dr Kishore Kumar, Dr Gerald Santosh D’Souza and others were present.

 The Alva’s College Moodbidri has bagged the overall championship by winning 22 out of the 23 events conducted for men and women. The SDM College, Ujiire bagged the second position while the Mangalore University, Mangalagangotri stood third.
