Mangalore : All post-graduate teachers of Mangalore University campus have been provided with high-end laptops.
S. Ramananda Shetty, Vice-Chancellor of Nitte University and former Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, distributed the laptops at the foundation day function of the University on September 10, Monday. On this occasion, the laptops were symbolically distributed to chairpersons of various departments.
T.C. Shivashankara Murthy, Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University, said the University plans to buy 43 more laptops for distributing them among some research scholars, officials and teachers.
He said that the cost of each wi-fi enabled laptop was Rs. 46,770.
