Mangaluru : The city police commissioner Sandeep Patil appreciated the police personals of the Mangaluru east police station on Friday May 24 for stopping the people from bursting crackers in the middle of the road.
They do proactive action against those who were trying to disrupt traffic and create public nuisance during celebrations post the announcement of Lok Sabha results on Thursday May 23.
BJP supporters gathered at Kadri to celebrate the victory. In their enthusiasm, they burst fire crackers in the middle of the road, thus creating traffic jam and nuisance to passersby and others.
The Kadri (east) police station who were deployed on duty as part of the bandobust for elections stop them.
A video of one such incident shows BJP supporters gather outside Congress office in the city to celebrate. Some of the supporters are seen misbehaving with the police and bursting fire crackers in the middle of the road despite cops trying to stop them.
