MLA Vedavyas Kamath inspects Smart City works at Carstreet

MLA KamathMangaluru : Most of the developmental works at Carstreet have been completed under the Smart City project at a cost of Rs 17 crore. “Two-wheeler traffic will be allowed from tomorrow,” said Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath.

Mangaluru South MLA inspected the developmental works underway at Carstreet in the city under the Smart City Project, on November 30, Monday.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion, the MLA said that the concretization is almost complete while underground drainage and MESCOM related works are remaining. He said two-wheeler movement will be permitted from December 1 keeping in mind the interests of the local traders and public.

MLA Kamath The MLA also assured that all the remaining work would be completed at the earliest so that vehicular traffic could be permitted on the road.

Local corporator Poornima, Smart City officer Lingegowda, MESCOM officers, Citizen Welfare Committee’s Hanumanth Kamath and others were present.
