Mangalore : Renowned Sandalwood director Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, will be the president of the 8th All India Kannada Cultural Convention 2011, which will be held at Mumbai on Aug 6 and Aug 7.
The Mumbai Kannada Sangha, Hridayavahini, the Kannada newspaper, the Government of Karnataka, Department of Kannada and Culture, and the Karnataka Border Area Development Authority at V. K. Gokak Vedike in Santa Cruz, East Mumbai will jointly organize the event.
Honourable union minister of state for railways K. H. Muniyappa, will inaugurate the event on Aug 6, Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
The convention will include the sessions such as poets’ meets and others. Apart from it, the Noble Man 2011 and Suvarna Mayura awards will also be conferred to the achievers on the occasion.
Renowned Kannada activists, thinkers, writers, actors and leaders will participate in this event.
