Udupi: Police arrested rowdy-sheeter, Diwaker Achari under Goonda Act on Tuesday at Hiriadka in Udupi. Hiriadka based rowdy-sheeter is reportedly involved in serious criminal offences including two murder cases, an attempt to murder, and five theft cases.

The arrested is accused in the alleged murder of Sheik Mohammed Tasneem, a resident of Kemmannu, who found dead in a car at Ontibettu, last year. Diwaker Achari nabbed after an order from Udupi deputy commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis to arrest him under Goonda Act in the wake of a report submitted by Udupi Superintendent of Police earlier.
